Travelling light: you need these tips
Booked a holiday? Nice! Packing a suitcase, on the other hand, isn’t always fun. How do you make sure you can fit all your must-haves into your suitcase without it getting too heavy? These tips are also very welcome when you are only permitted hand luggage for a long weekend away! Read on.
Less is more
Consider carefully which pieces you have been wearing a lot lately (because: they’re your favourites!) and which items you can easily combine. Denim shorts are always good in hot weather; choose some comfy basics and some cool prints to spice up your outfit. How about colourful scarves (to wear in your hair, as a belt or attached to your bag) and statement earrings?
Tip: roll clothes up! It really saves a lot of space and your clothes will come out of your suitcase relatively crease-free. If you do find they have a few creases, hang your items in the bathroom. The humidity from showering will steam out those creases in no time.
Life’s better in a bikini
Heading to the beach? Or perhaps your hotel has a nice pool? If so, you definitely need a few bikinis in your suitcase. Because you obviously don’t want to parade in the same bikini every day, it’s best to bring two bikinis so you can mix it up. Now you have different looks for four different days, very useful!
A smile is the best make-up
On holiday, we often wear less make-up, so you don’t have to bring all your supplies with you ;). Limit yourself to a good day cream with SPF, BB cream, waterproof mascara and a lipstick that you can use on your lips and as blush! A nice make-up bag is a must – have you seen our gorgeous ones yet?
Buy your shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and toothpaste in mini sizes. That way you can also try out a new brand temporarily and if you don’t like it, you can also pick up some minis when you get to your destination.
Enjoy your holidays!
