New Year’s resolutions
We are definitely going to give it our all this year! Studies have shown that 90% of New Year’s resolutions aren’t kept, but it will be easier thanks to these tips.
1. Write down your goal and why you want to achieve it
It is important that to have a clear goal, so buy a nice notebook and write it down. You can of course write down more goals but only if they can be achieved in one year. Also write down why you want to achieve this goal and what the advantages are going to be, such as having more energy and fitting into your fave dress.
2. How you are going to achieve this goal
If you want to lose some weight, the simplest way to do this is to exercise more and eat healthier. Buy an easy, healthy cookbook and experiment with your new favourite recipes. Replace your daily snack with vegetables (tip: make a fresh hummus dip) and drink lots of water. Note: fruit juices and alcohol are full of calories! Fancy something extra? Mix tonic with some orange juice, yum!
Is going to the gym three times a week not your thing? Get together with a friend and sign up together for a local bootcamp (with a handsome trainer!), go to a great yoga school or buy a skipping rope. You can also regularly go for long walks with your dog, take the stairs from now on and a good shopping sesh counts aswell of course 😉
3. Reward yourself
After every month that you’ve stayed on track (that’s what we’re aiming for!), reward yourself. A new sport’s outfit, a relaxing massage, a long pedicure, name it! Also take a photo of yourself every month, more often than not you will notice that you have toned up rather than lost a lot of weight. And be proud!
