This is how to organise the ultimate me-time evening
Sometimes it’s wonderful to spend an evening alone. A Friday evening of Netflix, chilling out in your PJs with a face mask on: we love it! So cancel your plans for the coming weekend, and use these tips to organise your ultimate me-time evening.
Switch off your phone
Make sure you’re focusing entirely on yourself. You can’t get fully relaxed when your phone is vibrating all the time with your friends apping to ask if you’d like to go with them to the pub. And you’ll have no FOMO from checking your social media the whole time. In short, you’re better off without the phone for this me-time evening.
Watch a guilty-pleasure film
No need to be ashamed of watching a silly chick flick because you’re alone: who’s to know? No snarky comments from your lover for you wanting to watch Mamma Mia for the umpteenth time: just do it! Oh yes, and naturally this goes with you dancing about in your PJs and singing along with the songs really loudly.
Buy a bath bomb, fill the bath, grab a book, aaand relax. [JB: deliberate ‘aaand’ to indicate a drawn out pronunciation as trainers say in yoga/fitness classes.] It’s so wonderful to indulge yourself on an evening. A couple of hours unwinding in the bath with a face mask on is great for emptying the mind. For an even more romantic touch, light some candles and play some soft jazz in the background: so extra!
Plan a yoga session
Perhaps a crazy idea, but yoga really is relaxing! And it’s good for your health and mindset. There are lots of mediation and relaxation exercises that can help you focus completely on yourself. You can of course also choose to take lessons.
With these tips, you can be sure of a relaxing evening! Make sure you regularly plan in these evenings to take more time for yourself. Still need some chill-out clothing? Have a look around our Cosy Collection!
