Always so much month left at the end of your money? This is true for a lot of people. The last week before getting paid can be particularly difficult! If you keep running out of money every month, maybe it’s time to take a good look at your outgoings. These tips will help you manage your money.
Save money on clothes
The new collections are in the stores and no doubt you’ll have spotted our new Fashion Week collection (#want!). Before going shopping it’s a good idea to make a wish list or a mood board so you have a good idea of what’s already in your wardrobe, what you’d like to have and what you no longer wear. Sell anything you no longer wear and invest the money you get in cool new pieces. If you find it difficult to put together a wardrobe of pieces you can easily mix and match, have a look online for inspiring fashion blogs and YouTube tutorials. You’ll be amazed how many handy tips you can find. Get inspired!
Save money on groceries
Do you go to the shop everyday? Even if you only need one thing, you’ll come back with more because you’ve either been tempted by an offer or you simply cannot resist your fave chocolate bar (#guilty). Try changing your habits by buying groceries just once or twice a week, and making a list of what you’re going to have for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks before you go. Turn your Sunday evenings into food-prep evenings. In no time you’ll have perfected a few easy and healthy meals you can enjoy for lunch over the next few days. This saves both time and money.
Save money on going out
In the summer, you’re more tempted to go for after-work drinks or grab a bite to eat in town with friends. Even though it’s a lot of fun, it soon adds up. Set yourself a budget for doing fun things, but remember, once it’s gone, it’s gone. Use online discounts for excursions, or get your friends to bake treats and head to the nearest park on a sunny Saturday afternoon for a picnic. Be creative!
