This could make it easier to get up in the morning
If only the weekend lasted a little longer… one of the things we absolutely do not miss during the weekends: Our alarm clock! Not a morning person or always struggling with getting up? Here are some handy tips that could make getting up in the morning just that little bit easier.
1. The Alarm
Try and not be too scared at just the bare thought of your alarm clock. There are two things one can do to try and improve the relationship.
Option 1: Place your alarm at the other side of the room, it may sound a little mean. But this way you’ll HAVE to leave your bed if you ever want it to stop.
Option 2: One of the most annoying things of your alarm: the sound! Just the sheer thought of it is enough to give us Goosebumps. But it doesn’t have to be this way! By changing the sound of your alarm to something a little, well.. more harmonious you’ll wake up in a much better mood!
We’ve all seen the studies on breakfast by now. –yes, it’s way more healthy to have breakfast- but did you know that people who have breakfast in the morning are much more productive? Alright, enough about breakfast. Fact is that once we know there is a tasty breakfast waiting for us when we get up.. it’s a lot easier to actually leave the bed on time. So make sure you’ve got some tasty breakfast items!
3. Get up at a set time
It takes 21 days to create a new habit. By getting up at a set time each day, your body will get used to it. Just try and go to bed once you feel tired and get up at the same time each day. Bonus: The chance of oversleeping is significantly reduced!
4. A quick morning shower
Love ir or hate it: Showering in the morning. Some love it and some can’t stand it. Still, it’s smart to take a shower each morning. And here’s why: The blood circulation is stimulated and provides more energy. –expect for when the shower is really warm- PS: By using a shower gel with mint and lemon you’ll wake up even more refreshed!
