Facts: Signs that your bra is too small
Know the feeling? When your bra doesn’t stop annoying you? You tug at it and wriggle your back muscles, but nothing helps. Did you know that the majority of women are wearing the wrong size bra? These are the signs that you are wearing a bra that is too small for you and it’s really time to get yourself measured up again.
Straps digging in (ouch)
You have your bra on the loosest hook, but you still feel the straps digging in and chafing your skin. That’s one of the signs that your bra is too small. You’ve grown and you don’t want the bra straps as tight as they used to be – time to get shopping.
Breasts in or over the cup?
If you’re wearing a white shirt, you’d rather not wait until it’s too late to realise your breasts are not in the cup and are in fact visible. That’s just embarrassing, so avoid it by buying a cup size bigger. Not sure about the correct size? Visit one of our stores and have yourself measured up by a lingerie expert.
Loosest hook, yet still tight
When doing up your bra, do you notice the closure feels just a little bit too tight? Make your life a bit more comfortable and go for a bigger size. Normally a C75? Then go for a B80. The cup size will stay the same but you’ll have just a bit more slack.
Bra creeping up
Your bra slowly creeps up, which is incredibly annoying! You constantly have to pull your bra down and it won’t stay in place. There is only one solution: get some advice about your bra size. You’re probably wearing a bra that is too big for you.
A really good and quick way to find out if you are still wearing the right bra size or whether your bra is too small: the arms-up trick. Raise your arms – how does your bra feel? If the bra is moving and there is enough slack: Great. Can you feel it pulling? No go.
