The best reasons/tips for working out
The internet is full of photos, exercises and video clips to help you with your workout. Super convenient of course, but where to start? Having a goal already makes working out a little easier. What do you do when you really don’t feel like working out? You read this blog and then jump straight onto your bike and head for the gym! We’ll spare you the motivational quotes and give you the best reasons why you should work out.
First things first, how great is it when you can see the results of your workout when you look in the mirror? It gives your self-confidence a boost. Of course, the results don’t just have to be visible in the mirror. There are also results you notice when you are exercising. After a while, you can hold a plank longer, do more squats and use heavier weights. Each time, you break your personal record and you get that sense of achievement.
Although working out can be exhausting, ultimately you gain energy from it. Not just because you get fitter, but also because your brain produces the chemical dopamine. As a result, it remains active and so you have more energy. And although it gives you more energy, working out helps you sleep a lot better too.
Working out makes you a lot more creative. You keep thinking of new things you can do. Looking up exercises on the internet or coming up with your own. Plus, working out can really ’empty’ your mind. Then, all kinds of things you would not normally think about come into your mind instead. It all makes for a more creative mind.
The above reasons all contribute to a better mood. Who doesn’t enjoy that feeling of being fit, sleeping well and having more self-confidence? Working out gives you a moment when you can forget all your stress and come out a lot happier and more cheerful afterwards. So you don’t need any more reasons, because who doesn’t want to be happy and cheerful?!
Still not quite convinced you want to work out? Then buy yourself a new sports outfit and look forward to making everyone in the gym jealous.
