How to stay fit even when you’re on holiday
Everybody knows that feeling of excitement before your holiday. Weeks in advance we start thinking about all the clothes we want to take with us and we are more motivated than ever to work out. Once we arrive at our holiday destination, most of us go into lazy mode – and there’s nothing wrong with that! But personally, I always find it very hard to get back into my old rhythm after the holiday. So why not stick to your habits when on holiday and do a little exercise? I’ll show you how you can stay fit even when you’re on holiday.
20-30 minutes are enough to do something for your body and mind.Today I’ll show you my favourite exercises that you can really do anywhere.Of course a cute sports outfit is an essential item in your suitcase.So don’t forget to pack a sports bra, a sports top and bottoms.
I recommend doing the exercises immediately after getting up in the morning or in the evening, and not to work out in the heat of the day.To start with, do three sets of 15 reps each and increase the intensity gradually.Have fun!
Sit on the front of a chair and lift your legs up.As soon as you’ve got your balance back, lean backwards and extend your legs. Now draw your legs back up and sit up straight, including your upper body.Every time you stretch your legs counts as one repetition.
Stand with one leg further forward than the other.Put one foot on the bed.Now lower your hips to the ground and bend your front knee.Make sure your front knee does not extend further than your toes and that you remain upright.Then switch legs and repeat the exercise 15 times.
Lie on the floor, bring your legs up to an angle of 90 degrees and put your feet on the bed. Lift your pelvis until your thighs and your upper body form a straight line.Then slowly bring your pelvis back down.
Support yourself on a chair arm or the like.Keep your body straight, bend your elbows and bring your body down and then back up again by straightening your elbows.
That’s your holiday workout done!As you see, it’s not so hard to stay fit even when you’re on holiday!
