Does it seem like an eternity since you last worked out? Perhaps you’ve had a nasty injury or you’ve been very busy at work/school. Whatever the reason, you want to start exercising again and that’s good news! Ambassador Suzanne has 3 tips to get right back into it! Read on and who knows, perhaps we’ll soon see you ‘shining’ (sweating!) in one of the sports sets from the Caro_e_ collection.
SET YOURSELF GOALS
Set yourself a goal you helps motivate you to keep going back. Maybe you want to lose weight, or work on your stamina, or you just want to feel fitter. Whatever it may be, make it concrete by setting a deadline and making a plan! Also promise yourself a treat to make you even more determined to hit your deadline! Dinner at your favourite restaurant, perhaps, or a new lingerie set, or those cool running shoes you’ve been wanting for ages.
FEEL COMFORTABLE
It may sound a bit strange when I say that a new sports outfit will help you get motivated to start exercising again! But you’ll see that a new sports set is not such a bad idea. You want to be confident when you step out of the door and, above all, you need to be able to move freely and easily in your sports outfit. Particularly for women with a big cup size, it can sometimes be very tricky to find a good sports bra, making it more likely that they will skip exercising. The red/pink sports set from the Caro_e_ collection is currently my ultimate favourite!
START GENTLY
Do you prefer not to start running with your regular running group straightaway, and do you think going straight back to boot camp after a long break is too intense? If so, start by walking a few times a week and do simple exercises at home using your own body weight – push-ups, plank, wall-sits, squats, lunges and sit-ups for example.
All in all, it’s important to remember that exercise is nothing more than moving around. You don’t have to be back in top condition straightaway! Be patient and don’t be too hard on yourself. Set yourself realistic goals, buy a new sports outfit and go for it!
