Dry skin can be really irritating (who hasn’t heard of it?!). It feels really tight and can sometimes look dull. Luckily everyone experiences it which means that there are enough solutions. Here are our tips for tackling dry skin. These home remedies work so well and you probably already have them in your kitchen cupboards. Handy!
1. Olive oil
The oil we mostly use for cooking is super for dry skin. Olive oil promotes cell renewal which turns your dry skin into new, soft skin. Dab some olive oil on your skin and then rub in some moisturiser. Remember to first check how the olive oil feels on your skin. You can always use one of the other remedies listed below.
2. Honey
This sweet product doesn’t just help hydrate your skin, it also helps to clean your skin. Honey has antibacterial properties, which can help tackle acne and impurities. If you rub some honey on your dry lips before bed, you will have super soft lips the next day!
3. Coconut oil
Coconut oil is becoming more popular in the beauty world. There are many products popping up that contain this oil and not without reason! Coconut oil is great when it comes to hydrating skin. You only need a small amount for a large area and it is suitable for your whole body. PS. It is also suitable to use on hair. Let it soak in for at least 2 hours (or an entire night) and your hair will shine just like your skin.
4. Milk
Milk can help soften your skin from both the inside and the outside. By drinking milk, you will feel more energetic and your skin will be hydrated. Milk is also great to use when it comes to face masks, scrubs or bath foam. Milk makes your skin feel smooth so your dry skin will be gone in no time.
Which tip is your favourite? Don’t forget to buy a comfy lounge set so that you can really relax after moisturising your skin.
