Do you already know these lingerie facts and fables?
There are many mysteries about wearing a bra…Should you wear a bra in bed or not? Can you wear the same bra size for a number of years? Does a smaller bra provide a push-up effect? We have the answers to your questions, so keep reading!
A bra in a smaller size provides a push-up effect
Fable! A bra that is too small is uncomfortable and causes your boobs to bulge out at the top and sides. If the straps also cut into your skin and leave marks, then you and your bra are not a match made in heaven! This spring, we have new pastel coloured push-up and maximizer bras to give you a fabulous cleavage. Did you know that a maximizer can increase your cup size by up to 2 sizes?
Your breasts will stay firm if you wear a bra to bed
If you choose to sleep with a bra on then go for a non-padded, non-wired bra. Sleeping with an underwired bra on is a NO GO! It’s possible that the wiring can become deformed if you move a lot in your sleep. Also, don’t wear a push-up bra in bed as this can cause wrinkles in your neckline. Bra off, hair up and sweats on! In other words, a fable! But a healthy lifestyle (with plenty of exercise) and a good supportive bra will help keep your breasts as firm as possible. Apparently, rinsing with cold water in the shower stimulates the circulation and also helps keep your breasts firm.
Your bra size stays the same for 10 years
Did you know that 80% of women wear the wrong bra size? Your bra size can differ every year thanks to, for example, changes in your weight or swollen breasts around the time of your period. Consider these factors when you buy a new bra. Our Favourite Fit service can help you with this by finding the perfect bra for your breasts. Fact: Your breasts will be forever grateful! 😉
How do you know if you are in face wearing the right bra?
When you wear the correct size, your bra doesn’t creep up and it feels like a second skin. A bra should also have a perfect fit when you fasten it on the final clasp and if the middle part of your bra fits closely to your chest. Finally, we have a golden tip for you: wear a bra, bend forward and shake your breasts. If your breasts are still in your bra then you are wearing the right size! Pop in to one of our stores to get measured then you will know for sure!
