These bra-hacks will make your life so much easier
Bra’s; they come in all kind of shapes, colours and shapes. But let’s face it: We wouldn’t have it any other way. But how does one find the perfect bra? And once you’ve finally found the one, how can you extent it’s life span? Wonder no more: these bra-hacks will turn you into an expert in no time!
Preparation is key
Looks can be deceiving. Sometimes a bra seems to fit perfectly in store, but when time comes to actually wear it, it turns out to be a disappointment. In order to prevent disappointment it’s sensible to bring a tight fitting t-shirt, and try the bra on with the t-shirt. This way you will be able to tell what it actually looks like underneath your clothes. (Shakira reference anyone?) It’s important to always try the bra on for the first time when it’s on the largest width possible. After wearing it for a while the fabric will stretch a bit and you will be able to use the tighter width closure.
Fit is #1
Every bra is different. The fit determines the size you should wear. For example, when buying a strapless bra we recommend going a size smaller than your usual size. (Yes, really!) This prevents the bra from slipping down! Trust the fit rather than the size. This tool will help you find your perfect shape!
Be kind to your bras!
Once you have found your favourite fit, you obviously want to enjoy if for as long as possible! (duh! ) We recommend washing your bra’s by hand and leave them to air dry. This provides the best results. Don’t put your bras in the dryer. This will result in the fabric stretching and a shorter life span. Of course, you won’t always have time to hand wash your bra’s. (too busy being a super woman of course) In this case always use a hosiery bag. This protects your bra against stretching.
Did you know the average life span of a bra is about nine months? So it’s high time to treat your self to a new one.. 😉 Shop all bras.
